Coshocton Ohio based manufacturer, McWane Ductile, recently celebrated their re-certification in the OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star program.
The Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) promote effective worksite-based safety and health. In the VPP, management, labor, and OSHA establish cooperative relationships at workplaces that have implemented a comprehensive safety and health management system. Approval into VPP is OSHA’s official recognition of the outstanding efforts of employers and employees who have achieved exemplary occupational safety and health.
The celebration began with the National Anthem, sung by Olivia Evert and then the Hourly Coordinator of the VPP program at McWane Ductile, Shain Ridenbaugh gave a brief history of the journey to complete the certification. After Shain spoke to the group, Mayor Steve Mercer was welcomed to the podium. Mayor Mercer talked about the importance of manufacturing to the economy in Coshocton County…and how Coshocton is the “Made in the USA City.”
With more than 900 employees, McWane Ductile stands today as North America’s leading and most experienced ductile iron pipe manufacturer and supplier. McWane has locations in Utah, New Jersey, and Coshocton, Ohio. For more information on McWane Ductile, you can visit them online here.
