Polio Palooza Fundraiser- Rotary

Polio Palooza Fundraiser

Polio Palooza is an event that came about when the Coshocton Rotary Club decided they wanted to take charge on helping eradicate polio. Furthermore, they created a goal of raising $2000 to help raise funds and awareness about Polio and how it has affected America. Rotary is 18 cases away from Polio being completely banished forever, and our hope is that they are able to make a difference with The Polio Palooza.

October 25th-

Polio Palooza Fundraiser will be held at The Coshocton KOA and McPeek’s Mighty Maze from 5-8 pm on Thursday, October 25th. McPeek’s Mighty Maze is not normally open on a Thursday, so this is an extra opportunity to enjoy such a wonderful place in Coshocton County. Polio Palooza is open to the public, and will satisfy all of your fall festivity needs, for all ages. Not only is there a corn maze, but many unique and exciting fall themed games, a bounce mat, playground, pumpkin patch, optional hay rides, as well as a concession stand selling snacks, tshirts, and pizza for polio.  Tickets are on sale now on Coshocton Rotary Club’s Facebook event page, and they cannot wait to see all kinds of happy faces all there for a good cause.  There will be donation bins and several options for you to make a difference in eradicating polio, and all of the profits off of this event go straight to the GPEI. The fight to end polio is led by the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI), which includes Rotary, UNICEF, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and governments of the world, with the support of many others around the globe.

Every dollar that we give to end polio Bill & Melinda Gates gives two. So, if we raise $2000, they will give $4000. This is huge. So whenever you are thinking of donating or making a difference to end polio, remember that you efforts count.

Rotary is an international community that brings together leaders who step up to take on the world’s toughest challenges, locally and globally. The eradication of polio is one of our longest standing and most significant efforts.  Along with our partners, we have helped immunize more than 2.5 billion children against polio in 122 countries. We have reduced polio cases by 99.9 percent worldwide and we won’t stop until we end the disease for good.

The Coshocton Rotary Club is so excited about this family friendly fundraiser, and hopes to see you there to help us end polio now! If you have any questions, concerns, or would like to make a donation and cannot attend, please contact [email protected] or you can mail a check to Coshocton Rotary Club PO Box 675.
